Text view (Fundamentals)
La Visualizzazione testuale è un ambiente in cui è possibile modificare i record bibliografici WorldCat senza dover conoscere le convenzioni specifiche dei campi e dei sottocampi MARC 21 . L'ambiente di visualizzazione testuale utilizza invece etichette intuitive per richiedere informazioni sull'elemento che si sta catalogando.

È possibile creare un record bibliografico con Visualizzazione testuale:
- Deriva i record bibliografici WorldCat , ovvero sta creando un nuovo record bibliografico da un record esistente simile al nuovo record che stai creando.
- Using a material type template to create the bibliographic record, which is creating bibliographic records using a material type.
Prima di creare un record bibliografico, cercare in WorldCat per assicurarsi che:
- Nessun record bibliografico WorldCat esistente corrisponde esattamente all'articolo. Verificando che nessuno abbia precedentemente aggiunto un record WorldCat per l'elemento, è possibile impedire la creazione di record WorldCat duplicati.
