Nota:
- See Delete WorldCat holdings and associated local information for information on how to delete WorldCat holdings and associated local information (LHRs and LBDs) from up to 10,000 records.
- Deleting an LHR will cause the item status to be set to withdrawn. For more information, see Withdrawn status.
Delete a local holdings record from the local holdings record editor
- From the LHR editor, click Record > LHR > Delete.
- Click Delete. The LHR is removed from the bibliographic record. If you are removing the last LHR, you will need to select one of the following before clicking Delete:
- Retain the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
- Remove the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
Delete a local holdings record from a WorldCat bibliographic record
- From the MARC 21 record editor, scroll down to the LHRs accordion.
- From the LHRs accordion, click the Delete button (
) for the LHR you want to delete.
- Click Delete. The LHR is removed from the bibliographic record. If you are removing the last LHR, you will need to select one of the following before clicking Delete:
- Retain the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
- Remove the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
Delete multiple local holdings records from a search results list
Nota:
- You can only delete LHRs from the results list of a barcode index search. Selecting records from the results lists of other index searches (e.g., branch/shelving location, reproduction policy, etc.) will not activate the Delete Barcodes action.
- You can enter up to 100 barcodes; however, you need to leave a space between each barcode entry. The system interprets this space as the Boolean OR between each barcode.
- If you delete the last LHR associated with a bibliographic record, your OCLC holding symbol will be removed from the record.
- From the Scope drop-down list, select My LHRs.
- From the Index drop-down list, select Barcode.
- In the Term(s) text field, enter the barcode(s).
- Fare clic su Cerca.
- (Optional). Filter your search results.
- Select one or more LHRs that you want to delete.
Note: - Select Delete Barcoded Items from the Actions drop-down menu.
- From the Delete Selected Barcodes from the LHR dialog, click Delete. The selected LHRs are deleted and removed from their respective bibliographic records.
Delete a local holdings record on behalf of another institution
You can delete a local holdings record from a WorldCat bibliographic record for an institution if:
- Your institution is set up as an agent and has a list of other libraries for which they can do work.
- You have the Cataloging_Agent role assigned.
Contact OCLC Support to set up your library as an Agent.
Delete a local holdings record on behalf of another institution from the WorldCat Holdings screen
- Search for a bibliographic record.
- Click the Other Libraries link to open the WorldCat Holdings screen for the record.
- Locate the institution for which you want to delete an LHR. The Holdings column will contain a hyperlink if the institution has associated LHR data.
- Click the Local Holdings Available.
- If the record has a single associated LHR, the LHR dialog opens.
- If the record has multiple associated LHRs, the View Multiple LHRs screen opens. Click a call number or barcode to open the LHR dialog.
- From the LHR dialog, click Delete LHR.
Note: If you selected an LHR from a library that you can't act as an agent for, the Delete LHR option will not display. - Click Delete. The LHR is removed from the bibliographic record. If you are removing the last LHR, you will need to select one of the following before clicking Delete:
- Retain the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
- Remove the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
Delete a local holdings record on behalf of another institution from the LHR editor
- Search for a bibliographic record.
- Click the Other Libraries link to open the WorldCat Holdings screen for the record.
- Locate the institution for which you want to delete an LHR. The Holdings column will contain a hyperlink if the institution has associated LHR data.
- Click the Local Holdings Available.
- If the record has a single associated LHR, the LHR dialog opens.
- If the record has multiple associated LHRs, the View Multiple LHRs screen opens. Click a call number or barcode to open the LHR dialog.
- From the LHR dialog, click Edit LHR. The LHR editor opens.
- From the LHR editor, click Record > LHR > Delete.
- Click Delete. The LHR is removed from the bibliographic record. If you are removing the last LHR, you will need to select one of the following before clicking Delete:
- Retain the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
- Remove the WorldCat holding and linked LBD record(s).
