Recommended custom fields

A custom field can be marked as recommended to help ensure that it is filled in before placing orders or changing the status of an invoice. Recommended custom fields will be indicated by an exclamation mark symbol when editing order items.

Additionally, a warning message will display if a user tries to place an order or pay an invoice with missing or incomplete recommended fields. Recommended fields can be set at any time, but can also be marked when you create a custom field.

Mark an existing custom field as recommended

  1. Passare a Impostazioni > Campi personalizzati.
  2. Fare clic sul nome campo per il campo personalizzato che si desidera aggiornare.
  3. Per Campo consigliato, selezionare il pulsante di opzione Sì.
  4. Fare clic su Salva.
  5. (Optional) Repeat for any other custom fields you would like to make recommended.

Search for items with missing recommended custom fields

When searching order items or invoice items, you can filter to display items with missing recommended custom fields.

  1. On the left navigation, click Orders > Order Items.
    Or
    On the left navigation, click Invoices > Invoice Items.
  2. Click Filters (at the top right of the screen).
  3. Click Missing Recommended Custom Fields > Yes.
  4. Click Search. A list of all items with missing recommended custom fields appears.
