This "Server communication failed" error is occurring because the system is looking for holdings information, but no holdings information is included in the LHR. In other words, the number of holdings lists as 0. Please go in and add holdings information to the LHR and test this again. This doesn't have to be for a specific piece with a barcode, but just a field that would add holdings information.

To change this without changing the information in the displaying fields of the LHR, add a copy number (852 $t) to each LHR. 852 $t 1 will display on the top, 852 $t 2 beneath that, and so on. The copy number does not display in Discovery, so you will not need to edit the call number or any other Local Holding Record field.
