Dewey Cutters

Scopri come impostare le preferenze e applicare il Dewey Cutter a un record bibliografico in WorldShare Record Manager.

Overview

È possibile applicare un cutter alla collocazione Dewey nei record bibliografici MARC 21 e nei record di salvataggio in elaborazione. Fornisce solo un numero di cutter e non un numero di classe. Il numero del tipo di taglierina si basa sulle preferenze dell'utente per il tipo di taglierina. Prima di applicare il numero della taglierina, è necessario inserire già queste informazioni:

  • Class number in the 092 field $a
  • Text in either the one of the 1xx (preferred) fields or the 245 field

The cutter number is added to 092 field $b. If $b is empty, the cutter number is added; however, if $b contains text, the new information overwrites the existing information. If there are multiple $b subfields, the cutter number is entered in the first instance.

Set the cutter type preference for WorldCat bibliographic records

Nota: dopo aver impostato un tipo di taglierina predefinito, fare clic su Reimposta modulo per ripristinare le impostazioni predefinite originali.

  1. Nella barra di navigazione a sinistra, fare clic su Preferenze utente.
  2. Nella schermata Preferenze utente, fare clic su Lavorare con i record.
  3. Per Tipo di taglierina predefinito (092), selezionare un tipo di taglierina.
    • Quattro cifre (predefinito)
    • Sanborn
  4. Fare clic su Salva.

Apply the Dewey cutter to a WorldCat bibliographic record

  1. From the MARC 21 editor, select the 092 field and add the classification number in $a.
  2. From the Edit drop-down menu, select Apply Dewey Cutter. The cutter number is added to 092 field $b. If $b is empty, the cutter number is added; however, if $b contains text, the new information overwrites the existing information. If there are multiple $b subfields, the cutter number is entered in the first instance.
