About Collection Manager Fundamentals

Find an overview of the interface and features available in WorldShare Collection Manager Fundamentals.

Overview

Use WorldShare Collection Manager Fundamentals to register holdings via Data Sync on records received from publishers and knowledge base collections to register e-titles. MARC record output is available for OCLC Cataloged collections.

Within the WorldShare interface, navigate to Metadata > Collection Manager Fundamentals.

Within this interface, you can:

  1. Select and create knowledge base collections.
  2. Retrieve MARC Records for OCLC Cataloged collections.
  3. Create and maintain Data sync collections to register holdings and the option to receive OCLC numbers returned in their records. 

WorldShare Collection Manager allows you to automate electronic and print workflows, improve the quality of your catalog, and highlight and share your unique collections. 

Collection Manager Fundamentals home 

Within the WorldShare interface, navigate to Metadata > Collection Manager.

In quest'area è possibile:

  1. Search in Collection Manager for Collections, Titles, Providers, Activity History, and Data Sync Collections.
  2. Create a collection by type:
  3. Use the Title Work List to select and deselect Titles in bulk from one collection or multiple collections.
  4. Apply Institution Settings across all of your collections.
  5. Find and download My Files reports. 
  6. Monitor data loads for providers with automatic collection loading, and maintenance for their knowledge base collections.
  7. Maintain your knowledge base from another service provider through KB sync. Refer to Alternate Knowledge Base Supplier Holdings.
  8. Find information about Collection Manager recordings, news, and release notes.
