Assign a group to a stanza

A group can only be assigned to a stanza after it has been created. Visit Create a group to learn how to create a group.

 Note: A stanza must be deployed to the EZproxy server before you can assign a group to it. Visit Select a stanza to deploy to the EZproxy server for more information.

To assign one or more groups to a stanza:

1. Select Stanza Configuration from the left navigation. The Selected stanzas tab, which displays a list of stanzas deployed to the EZproxy server, is open by default.
2. Locate the stanza you want to assign a group to in the list and click the Edit button ().
3. Click the Groups text field to open the Groups drop-down menu.  By default, default groups are selected to be assigned to the stanza.  Deselect the Default checkbox to:
   • Not automatically assign all default groups to the stanza
   • Activate the All checkbox
4. From the Groups drop-down menu, you can:
   • Leave the Default checkbox selected to assign all default groups to the stanza.
   • Search for a group in the Groups text field. Select the checkbox next to the group name to assign it to the stanza. As you add groups, they will appear above the Groups text field.
   • Select the All checkbox to assign all available groups to the stanza. To select the All checkbox, you must first deselect the Default checkbox.
5. Click the Save button () to finish configuring the groups for the selected stanza.
