Create a local circulation data file

Discover how to prepare and create a circulation data file for upload in Choreo Insights.

The Circulation tab in the Data Uploader allows you to upload your library's circulation data for analysis in Choreo Insights. Once your file has been processed, the loan history it contains is applied to your library's holdings in Choreo Insights, allowing you to use loan activity as part of your collection analysis and deselection workflows. Circulation data is loaded against a single institution symbol.

  1. Click Uploads in the top navigation.
  2. Select the Circulation data tab.
  3. Click Download to the right of Template Circulation File to receive a sample template file.
  4. The following columns are required for each item:
    • OCLC Number – The OCLC number of the item
    • Last Loan Date – The date the item was most recently loaned
    • Times Loaned – The total number of times the item has been loaned
  5. After you have finished adding to your file, you can upload the circulation data to use it.
