What is stored in knowledge base 029 and 035 fields and how can I search a unique identifier number

  • What is stored in WorldCat knowledge base records 029 and 035 fields?

Resolution

Since these records are not part of the WorldCat database, they do not function in the same manner.  In WorldCat knowledge base records:

  • 035/a is used to retain provider-supplied (such as Elsevier) unique identifiers for central index records. These values can be searched with the prefix un:
     
  • 029/b is used to store the OCN for central index records.  Example value: 5859325289.  These values can be searched with the prefix no:
