We have the same title in several collections, but the OCLC numbers don’t match. What should we do?

Libraries will often have multiple collections with titles overlapping. Occassionally, these titles may have different OCLC control numbers (OCN), causing the system to set duplicate holdings. From within the collections, you can update the main OCLC number on knowledge base title records so that the titles align across collections.
If you prefer, you can also report these as they come up to OCLC Support. Please include the following information:
- Collection names
- Collection IDs
- OCLC Numbers (specify the incorrect and the correct OCN)
