Our subscription to an automated DDA (Demand-Driven Acquisition) collection ends soon what do I need to do?

Symptom

Your are no longer participating in a DDA program and you want to know what to do with your Collection Manager collection(s).

Applies to

  • WorldShare Collection Manager

Resolution

  1. Let the DDA collection vendor know the date you want the subscription to end.
  2. The vendor will stop sending the automated holdings feeds for the DDA collections.
  3. The Perpetual collection will remain intact when the automatic feed stops, and your MARC Records remain unchanged.
  4.  After the subscription ends, verify in the activity history that OCLC did not load any holdings to ensure the vendor correctly stopped your automatic feed.
  5. Then deselect the DDA collection.

If the automatic feed did not end, please call or email OCLC Support and we will investigate further.
