Tabel met codes en termen inzake type drager conform RDA
Deze lijst bevat termen en 2-letterige codes conform de Term and Code List for RDA Carrier Types. De termen zijn in het Engels opgenomen, maar ook in het Nederlands vertaald. Tevens hebben we de Duitse en Franse vertalingen, die zijn ontleend aan de Duitse en Franse vertaling van de RDA Toolkit, toegevoegd. De codes hebben we ongewijzigd gelaten, mede om de (internationale) uitwisseling van bibliografische data te vergemakkelijken. Voor de duidelijkheid hebben we een definitie in het Engels toegevoegd afkomstig van de Library of Congress.
Omdat binnen MARC21 de RDA codes en termen worden gehanteerd, is voor de aanduiding 'rdacarrier' gekozen om aan te geven dat de term en/of code conform die richtlijnen zijn ingevuld. De toevoeging '/dut' wordt gebruikt bij de Nederlandse RDA termen: _%%rdacarrier/dut; de toevoeging '/ger' wordt gebruikt bij de Duitse RDA termen: _%%rdacontent/ger; de toevoeging '/fre' wordt gebruikt bij de Franse RDA termen: _%%rdacontent/fre. Als er geen toevoeging wordt gehanteerd, wordt ervan uitgegaan dat de termen in het Engels zijn gesteld.
OCLC heeft toestemming van ALA, CLA en CILIP gekregen om de RDA termen te gebruiken en in het Nederlands te vertalen.
