If you need access to Collection Manager Fundamentals (the Metadata tab in the WorldShare interface), follow the steps to Create a Collection Manager Fundamentals account.

 

 Attenzione: Se si cambia la password del proprio account OVID dopo aver avviato il caricamento automatico delle collezioni, contattare il supporto OCLC per aggiornare la password nella configurazione di OCLC con OVID, per garantire che gli aggiornamenti non vengano interrotti. OCLC Support apporterà le modifiche necessarie per riflettere la nuova password.

Verify your collections have not been manually selected ​

Se la vostra istituzione ha selezionato manualmente una collezione per intero, OCLC non sovrascriverà le vostre selezioni. Prima del caricamento iniziale delle partecipazioni dal provider, si consiglia di verificare che la collezione non sia stata selezionata manualmente.

 Notes: 

  • Follow the steps under See if your collection loaded to verify that an Automatic Holdings Feed has not already been setup for this collection. 
  • Once the holdings feed is set up, OCLC will select all applicable collections according to the data received from the vendor.

Prima del caricamento iniziale delle collezioni, per favore:

  1. Accedere all'interfaccia WorldShare all'URL WorldShare della propria biblioteca https://yourlibrary.share.worldcat.org/wms. [Sostituire yourlibrary con l'identificativo della propria biblioteca].
  2. Navigate to Metadata > Collection Manager Fundamentals and locate the search box.
  3. Selezionare Collezioni come tipo di dati e Tutte le collezioni come ambito. Fare clic su Cerca.
  4. Una volta restituita la raccolta in una ricerca, eseguire una delle seguenti operazioni:
    • Se la collezione è selezionata in FULL: è necessario deselezionarla. Il nostro sistema non sarà in grado di sovrascrivere la raccolta con i dati del titolo direttamente dal vostro fornitore. Se sono stati impostati dei possedimenti in WorldCat, la deselezione della collezione rimuoverà questi possedimenti. I titoli saranno aggiunti dopo il caricamento della collezione da parte di OCLC (se WorldCat Holdings è abilitato nelle impostazioni dell'istituzione).

Request an Automatic Holdings Feed 

Nomi e ID delle collezioni

There are many collections in the global WorldCat knowledge base. Use the collection data in the table to help you find the relevant collections. If your collection is not returned when you search within Collection Manager Fundamentals, try entering a root word and an asterisk (*) as a truncation operator. For example: Books@*

The below collections are available for Automatic Holdings Feed:

 Note: OpenAthens configured collections are not available for Automatic Holdings Feed. OpenAthens proxy libraries that wish to take advantage of Automatic Holdings Feed will need to make collection-level settings for OpenAthens integration to each of the above collections that are loaded.

How to request an Automatic Holdings Feed

  1. Use the collection names and IDs as listed and follow the instructions to verify that your collections have not been manually selected.
  2. Contact Ovid Support at support@ovid.com. Ask for your institution's OvidGroup, web username, and password. Ask that they enable your institution's OvidGroup for the KBART API. For example:

    • Supporto Ovid,

      Sto impostando un feed automatico delle partecipazioni. Vi prego di fornirmi l'OvidGroup, il nome utente e la password del mio istituto. Si prega di abilitare l'OvidGroup della mia istituzione per l'API KBART.

  3. Verificare l'OvidGroup, il nome utente web e la password ricevuti dall'Assistenza clienti Ovid:
    1. Copiare l'URL dal riquadro verde sottostante e incollarlo in un browser web.
    2. Replace three parts of the URL with your information [.../Holdings/YourOvidGroup?UserName=web username&Password=password]: 
      https://portal.ovid.com/Entitlements/api/Holdings/YourOvidGroup?UserName=web username&Password=password
    3. Click Enter. The URL should return a tab-delimited KBART file. If the URL returns an error message, contact Ovid Customer Support at support@ovid.com.

  4. From the Collection Manager Fundamentals home page, select the Add feed button. 
  5. Select Ovid.
  6. Enter your Account.
  7. Enter your Username.
  8. Enter your Password.
  9. Click Submit.

The feed request status will update to Pending as it is waiting for its initial provider update. 

 Caution: If you change the password on your Ovid account after initiating automated collection loading, be sure to update your password in the Collection Manager home page to ensure that your updates are not interrupted.

Vedere se la collezione è stata caricata

On the Collection Manager Fundamentals home screen, the Automatic holdings feeds tab shows all the available holdings feeds. Automatic holdings feeds that have been processed and are ongoing have the status of Active. For more information about editing, pausing, or removing an automatic holdings feed, see About Automatic Holdings Feeds. 

Automatic Holdings Feeds status descriptions:

Status Descrizione
Pending The feed request has been submitted and is waiting for its initial provider update.
Manual only The feed is set to be updated manually only and does not receive provider updates. This setting can be changed at the Institution level.
Paused The feed has been paused and is not receiving provider updates. Users can resume the feed using the Actions menu in the Automatic Holdings Feed view on the Collection Manager home page.
Attivo The feed is functioning normally and receiving updates.
Updating The feed is currently processing an update. This status typically appears briefly during the update process.
At the Institution level: 
  1. Accedere all'interfaccia WorldShare all'URL WorldShare della propria biblioteca(https://yourlibrary.share.worldcat.org/wms). [Sostituire yourlibrary con l'identificativo della propria biblioteca]).
  2. Navigate to Metadata > Collection Manager Fundamentals.
  3. Under the Search section in the left navigation, select Activity History from the Data Type drop-down. Select My Institution's History under Scope. 
  4.  Leave the Search Term(s) box blank and click Search. 
  5. From the search results screen, use the Filter by drop-down and select Loads & Feeds. From the resulting drop-down box, select Automatic Holdings Feed.
  6. Fare clic su Filtra. 
  7. The resulting list will show the collections currently loaded by Automatic Holdings Feed. 

Refer to Collection Manager Activity History for more information. 

At the Collection level:

  2. Navigate to Metadata > Collection Manager Fundamentals.
  3. Search for and select the collection.
    1. From the collection:
      1. Select the collection and expand Holdings and MARC Records.
      2. Under Data Sources, the provider will be selected under Selected data sources only. 

        OR
         
    2. From the collection:
      1. Select Collection History.
      2. Use the Filter by drop-down to select Loads & Feeds. From the resulting drop-down box, select Automatic Holdings Feeds.
      3. Fare clic su Filtra.
      4. The resulting list will show any Automatic Holdings Feeds uploads for the collection. 

Configurare le impostazioni dell'istituzione

OCLC Symbol

Verificare che il simbolo OCLC sia selezionato.

Collection Manager Fundamentals uses the symbol displayed here to maintain WorldCat holdings and to output records. Verify that your OCLC symbol is selected:

  1. Andare su Impostazioni dell'istituzione > Simbolo OCLC.
  2. Selezionare il proprio simbolo OCLC se è disponibile nell'interfaccia ma non è selezionato. 
  3. Fare clic su Salva.

Collection Manager Fundamentals helps you manage patron access to materials by directing off-campus patrons through your proxy server. Collection Manager Fundamentals will prepend your proxy information to catalog links. Enter your proxy information:

  1. Spostarsi su Impostazioni dell'istituzione > Proxy e Autenticazione > Proxy.
  2. Seleziona Proxy:
  • Nessuno (impostazione predefinita)
  • EZproxy
  • Proxy III WAM
  1. URL principale
  • Utenti EZproxy: Inserire l'URL di base. Esempio di URL di base di EZproxy: http://ezproxy.oclc.org/login?url=
  • Utenti del Proxy IIIWAM: Inserire il nome host. Esempio di un proxy WAM III hostname: sys.lib.proxy.edu

 Attenzione: Non includere uno spazio dopo l'URL di base.

Reports

Abilitazione dei rapporti inviati via e-mail

I rapporti saranno disponibili via e-mail nel momento in cui i file dei record sono stati emessi e/o dopo che sono state apportate modifiche al vostro patrimonio in WorldCat. Abilitare i rapporti inviati via e-mail:

  1. Andare su Impostazioni dell'istituzione > Rapporti.
  2. Selezionare Sì per ricevere i rapporti via e-mail.
  3. Inserire l'autorizzazione alla catalogazione o un codice amministratore. Si tratta di un numero a 9 cifre che inizia con 100. È necessario un solo codice di autorizzazione per istituto.
  4. Selezionare i tipi di rapporto che si desidera ricevere. 
  5. Immettere l'indirizzo e-mail a cui verranno inviati i rapporti. Se si aggiunge più di un indirizzo e-mail, separare ciascun indirizzo con un punto e virgola (;).
  6. Modificare le impostazioni di Formato rapporto e Ricezione come, se necessario.
  7. Fare clic su Salva.

Scegliete le istruzioni più adatte alle vostre esigenze

Gestire il patrimonio di WorldCat

La manutenzione del patrimonio di WorldCat è disponibile solo per le biblioteche con un abbonamento a catalogazione e metadati OCLC.

  1. Vai alle impostazioni dell'istituzione > WorldCat Holdings.
  2. Imposta Gestisci il posseduto su WorldCat su Sì.

The collection-level setting for knowledge base collections will be enabled by default. For complete instructions, see Institution Settings, WorldCat holdings.

Scarica i file

Download your files using My Files, located under the Metadata tab in the WorldShare interface. You do not need additional credentials to download records from the WorldShare interface.

Per istruzioni complete, vedere Scarica i file in I miei file, oppure seguire questi passaggi di base:

  1. Accedere all'interfaccia WorldShare e navigare su Metadati > I miei file.
  2. Fare clic su Download.
  3. Utilizzare le opzioni per filtrare l'elenco dei file. Fare clic su Download per scaricare il file.
