Error during export from remote workplace Unable to open the TCP/IP connection, the connection has timed out

Symptom
  • You are unable to export from Connexion to your local automation system and get the error "Unable to open the TCP/IP connection, the connection has timed out" instead.
Applies to
  • Connexion client
Resolution

This error means that Connexion client is not able to connect to your local automation system to deliver your data. Double-check that your Tools > Options > Export profile settings are set correctly. You may need to either log into VPN to inherit the proper permissions based on the IP address from your connection to the work server or ask your local automation system staff to add your home IP address to their server's white list. 

If problems persists, please contact OCLC Support with your name, library symbol, the error message, and the steps you've taken to resolve the issue.
