Title Holdings Insights
Overview
The Title Holdings Insights report summarizes counts of your title holdings by month, material format, and OCLC conspectus, utilizing monthly snapshots of data to view your title counts for selected historical months. This report also contains a drill-through detail report.

- Data refresh rate: This report's data is updated monthly. The data will be updated by the third of the month. Data will be "as of" the end of the previous month.
- Data history start date: Data >= May 2015
- Default date range: The last two full calendar months

Slicers
The Title Holdings Insights report visual has five slicers that can be applied. Each slicer is set to All by default.
- Material Format - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. The available values will depend on your institution's holdings.
- Material Subformat - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. The available values will depend on your institution's holdings.
- Conspectus Division - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. The available values will depend on your institution's holdings.
- Conspectus Category - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. The available values will depend on your institution's holdings.
- Conspectus Subject - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. The available values will depend on your institution's holdings.
Visuals
The Title Holdings Insights report contains two visuals.
Bar chart
The Title Holdings Quantity by Calendar Year Month and Material Format bar chart allows you to change the appearance of all visuals and columns in the report to limit by vendor name or item usage type.
- Click a vendor name to limit all visuals and columns to content for that vendor.
- Click an item usage type to limit all visuals and columns to metrics for that item usage type.
- Reclick the selected area to restore the appearance of all visuals and columns to their default.
Visualization options
The Title Holdings Insights report provides two different visualizations.
- Click Summary to access a bar chart that shows, by default, the Platform Searches for the various COUNTER Item Platforms by month for the time period you entered in the prompt. The Summary visual is the default resualization for this report.
- Click Tree Map to access a treemap that shows hierarchical data as a set of nested rectangles. Hover over a COUNTER Item Platform rectangle to view the total number of unique item requests (PR_P1) for the platform.
Columns
The Title Holdings Insights report contains the following columns. Click on a column name for more information.
- Calendar Year Month
- Material Format
- Material Subformat (viewable when a material format has been expanded)
You can click a column name to change the column sort.
- Click once to sort the column in ascending order.
- Click twice to sort the column in descending order.
- Click three times to restore the column to its original order.
Click the Expand button (
) next to a material format to view associated material subformats.
Drill-through detail report
The Title Holdings Insights detail report can be launched from the Title Holdings Insights report. It provides detailed counts of your title holdings by month, material format, and OCLC conspectus, utilizing monthly snapshots of data to view your title counts for selected historical months.
To access the Title Holdings Insights detail report:
- Hover over a row in the Title Holdings Insights report, and click Drill through from the pop-up dialog.
Or - Right-click a row in the Title Holdings Insights report, and click Drill through from the pop-up dialog.
Report interface
The Title Holdings Insights detail report has the same slicers, visuals, and columns as the Title Holdings Insights report.
