What happens if I disable a previously-enabled NGN notification type?

Answer
We strongly advise waiting to turn on the Next-Generation Notification types until your settings are complete, and all relevant templates have been configured. Once enabled, NGNs are scheduled on a go-forward basis, and legacy notifications are disabled. Toggling back and forth may cause confusion for patrons and inconsistency in formats sent out.
However, if a NGN notification type is toggled off, all NGNs of that type will be cancelled (if already scheduled), and legacy notifications will send again (unless the NGN type is a "net new" notification, i.e. new templates with no legacy equivalent). This action is not retroactive, and it will not be possible to resend legacy notifications for deliveries that should have happened while the NGN was enabled.
