Upload File

Learn how to modify standard HTM files and assets or load HTM files and assets using the EZproxy Configuration UI.

The Upload File page allows the modification of the standard HTM files and assets that EZproxy serves directly for its standard webpages. It also allows custom HTM files and assets to be loaded that may differ from the base files that are installed when EZproxy is deployed.

To understand the standard webpages that EZproxy deploys on install, visit the default web pages documentation

Upload custom files

  1.  Select Upload Files from the left navigation column.
  2. The Upload Files page will load.
  3. You will be presented with the Docs directory (folder).
    1. The docs directory is the folder that contains pre-existing HTM files and assets that EZproxy serves when it presents one of the default webpages.
    2. There are two subdirectories inside of the docs folder (loggedin, public):
      • Loggedin requires a user to be logged into EZproxy to view any of the contents that are served from this directory.
      • Public does not require a user to be logged in to access any of the contents served from this directory.
  4. The Upload file table has 4 columns:

Upload File interface showing the docs group row and the Actions column icons.
    1. Group: The directory (folder) that files are placed in.
    2. Name: The name of the folder or file.
    3. Size: The size of the file.
    4. Actions: Actions you can take regarding a folder or file
      • Cloud Icon: Allows a file to be uploaded.
      • Folder Icon: Allows a new folder (directory) to be added.
      • Trash Icon: Allows a folder or file to be deleted.
      • Eye Icon: Allows you to view text-based files (HTM files, for example).
  5. Open the directory you intend to upload a file to.
  6. Select the Cloud Icon next to the file you would like to replace by uploading a new version of the file.
    • If this is a new file, select the Cloud Icon next to the directory you intend to upload a new file to.
  7. Navigate to the file using the Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) and select the file to upload.
  8. Your file is staged for deployment. You must complete a deployment to add the file to the EZproxy system.
  9. Visit the Deployment Dashboard using the navigation column on the left to deploy it to both Pre-production and Production
