Guardian appears dead
Symptom
- EZproxy on Windows does no longer respond to requests
- The messages.txt log in the EZproxy installation folder shows this error message:
2024-04-11 23:25:05 Guardian appears dead; shutting down
Applies to
- EZproxy on Windows
- The "Service Path" of the service is enclosed in quotation marks
Resolution
Remove the quotation marks.
EZproxy should be able to start again as a service after this has been adjusted.
