How can I update my library address or name in the WorldCat Registry?

  • Your library name or address has changed, and you need to update it

Resolution

There are many potential places where a library name change can have an impact on your OCLC library services.  Please contact OCLC Support before implementing the changes below to discuss any other impacts and ensure a smooth transition. 

  1. Log in to Service Configuration here: https://worldcat.org/config
  2. Click the Change button in the upper-right corner and choose the branch with the name change.

Note: If you don't see it, you are not an authorized user for that library. Call OCLC Support to find out who is. 

  1. Select WorldCat Registry on the left tab list.
  2. Select Name and Location.
  3. Correct the information to what you want.
  4. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom.
