When we attempt to generate tokens for the WorldCat Search API we get failures.

Symptom
  • The error we see is a 401 Unauthorized error message.

Resolution

Verify that you are not using an older version of WorldCat Search API that doesn’t support access tokens.  If so, the version you are running only supports the style of authentication where the WSKey is sent as a parameter.
 
If your API project requires the use of token authentication please use the newer version of WorldCat Search API - https://developer.api.oclc.org/wcv2
