WorldCat Discovery November Release Highlights
This release of WorldCat Discovery includes the following enhancements as well as bug fixes:
- Specify authority source when re-mapping subject headings with locally preferred subjects.
Many of these changes are a direct result of your feedback.
New features and enhancements
Specify authority source when re-mapping subject headings with locally preferred subjects
When re-mapping subject headings to be replaced with locally preferred subjects, you can now define mappings for specific thesauri or subject heading schemes. You may also continue to define subject mappings that apply across all subject authorities.
This provides greater flexibility to assign re-mappings to a specific 6xx subject field, 6xx 2nd indicator (thesaurus) and/or 6xx $2 value (source of heading or term), either individually or in combination as illustrated in the table below.

When reporting an issue with WorldCat Discovery, it is extremely helpful to include the Request ID. The Request ID is found at the bottom of the screen on which the issue occurred. Including this information allows us to directly trace what happened on the request we are troubleshooting.
