Does OCLC remove bibliographic records from WorldCat if they do not have attached holdings?

OCLC may remove records with zero holdings from WorldCat from time to time.

Records without holdings are not deleted automatically. WorldCat contains many such records. In line with its mission to represent as many resources as possible, OCLC may retain these records for an unspecified time. However, there is no specific timeline for when a record without holdings may be deleted.
