New features and enhancements
Access 'Your Shelf' at a glance—Account Summary displayed directly on the Welcome screen
A new Welcome screen shelf widget that surfaces the active account and quick account actions directly on the app home screen has been added. The shelf provides an at-a-glance view of the logged-in account name and basic account status, improving discoverability and reducing steps to common account tasks.

Benefits
- Your users will be able to see the active account immediately on the Welcome screen without navigating to the Account area.
- Your users will be able to access common account actions faster because the shelf provides direct entry points (holds ready for pickup, overdue items, checked out items, and fines/fees) from the Welcome screen.
- Your users will be able to confirm at a glance which card is active when managing multiple library cards, reducing accidental actions on the wrong account.
- Your users will be able to enjoy a more personalized home experience that surfaces pertinent account information up front.
Impact
- Your users will have fewer taps to get to account functions because the shelf provides direct shortcuts from the Welcome screen.
- Your staff will be able to assist patrons more efficiently when guiding them through the app because account identity is more visible on the home screen.
Configuration
- No configuration is required to enable the Welcome screen shelf; it will appear by default in the newest version of the app.
- Account display names on the shelf can be modified by navigating to the Staff Dashboard > Options > Account > Manage Account > Summary Row Display Name

Clear building accessibility indicators for physical spaces
A new Branch Accessibility setting has been added to the Branch edit screen in the Staff Dashboard. Your library can now mark a branch as Not Accessible, Partially Accessible, or Fully Accessible. The selected value will appear to users in the app under a building accessibility label in the branch information section, improving transparency about physical access at each location.

Benefits
- Your users will be able to quickly see a branch’s accessibility status directly in the app when viewing branch details.
- Your users will be able to make informed decisions about visiting a branch based on its accessibility designation.
- Your library staff will be able to record and update a branch’s accessibility level from the Edit Branch Settings screen in the Staff Dashboard.
- Your library staff will be able to provide consistent accessibility information across all library locations via the app and branch listings.
Impact
- Your users will have clearer, more consistent visibility into which locations are accessible, partially accessible, or not accessible, reducing confusion and support inquiries.
- Libraries that maintain accessibility information will see that status displayed in both the library information list and the library detail screen within the app, which may influence patron routing and service planning.
- Where accessibility is marked as Partially or Not Accessible, your users may choose alternate branches or contact the library for accommodations prior to visiting.
Configuration
- Library staff must populate the new Building Accessibility field for each branch via the Staff Dashboard > Branches > Edit Branch Settings for the value to appear in the app.
- Recommended: Audit branch records and update the Building Accessibility selection (Not Accessible / Partially Accessible / Fully Accessible) to ensure accurate public-facing information.
- The app version is required for your users to see this change after your staff have updated the values; branches must be saved with the new accessibility selection in the Staff Dashboard.
- If you use a centralized configuration workflow, coordinate updates with your branch managers to confirm the correct accessibility designation.
- If a branch record is not updated, no accessibility statement will be shown for that branch in the app.
Staff Dashboard menu links for Community Center & Help documentation
A new Resources dropdown to the Staff Dashboard navigation has been added, which provides quick access to two external CapiraMobile sites: the CapiraMobile Community Center and CapiraMobile Help documentation.

Benefits
- Your staff will be able to quickly access Capira Community Center and Capira Help documentation directly from the Staff Dashboard menu.
Impact
- Your staff will spend less time searching for documentation or community help since the resources are one click away from the Staff Dashboard.
Configuration
- No configuration is required to enable the Resources menu — it will appear by default in the Staff Dashboard for all users after deployment.
